Limbaugh Has Question For Obama After Declaring Trump ‘Unfit’
“What are you going to do?”
President Barack Obama was busy taking shots at Donald Trump during a press conference Tuesday morning at the White House with Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. The president called Trump “unfit” and “woefully unprepared” to serve in the highest office in the land. That’s like calling the kettle black (no pun intended).
But Obama didn’t stop there. He also went after current Republicans, saying “If you are repeatedly having to say what Trump says is unacceptable, why are you still endorsing him?”
The comments came after a back-and-forth between Trump and Khizr Khan, a Muslim-American whose son was killed by a suicide bomber in Iraq while serving in the U.S. military. Khan attacked Trump at the Democratic National Convention, and Trump fired back on Twitter. Not only has this caused tension with Republicans who are unsure about their nominee, it’s also been the focus of media attention for the past couple of days.
Radio show host Rush Limbaugh turned Obama’s statement around, criticizing Obama for even implying that Trump was unfit and mocking his empty campaign promises. “The planet was going to heal,” Limbaugh said. “There was going to be love and utopia everywhere. And, of course, none of what Obama projected — none of what he promised — none of the pictures he painted have come anywhere near being true. And we have to hear how Donald Trump is unfit?”
The talk show host said almost every policy Obama has implemented has weakened the country and undermined our system of government.
“This is the guy that oversaw the Iranian nuclear deal that arranges for Iran to have nuclear weapons, and we release $150 billion in frozen assets that John Kerry acknowledges is going to be spent on terrorism,” Limbaugh said. “This a man who lied through his teeth how many times about Obamacare in order to get it passed, a man of the absolute worst economic recovery since 1949. There essentially isn’t one. And Trump’s unacceptable.”
He said Obama’s statement about Trump’s fitness for office raises “obvious questions.”
“Well, if he’s unacceptable, Mr. President, and he wins, what are you going to do? What are you going to do if he wins? It’s Nov. 8, he wins the election, you got two months to go. What are you going to do?” Limbaugh asked.
